Optimus offers the latest in accurate muscle testing technology which is typically only found in elite sporting clubs. We have on site a VALD Strength Testing Bar which accurately measures your muscle strength.

Your program starts with a session on the VALD Bar - measuring:

  • Lower limb - Quads, Hamstrings, Glutes

  • Upper Limb - Shoulders

  • Hip - Glutes

With the information from our strength testing we then have:

  1. Data that shows us strength imbalances, immediately giving us an idea on what we need to work with you on to get your body balanced, reducing your chance of injury.

  2. Accurate baseline strength information.

Your program is designed in 8 week blocks to help you progress by following a structured plan.

This 8 week block is broken down into 2 x 4 week blocks with each phase having a specific focus including:

  • Strength

  • Hypertrophy

  • Power

  • Speed


At the end of 8 weeks, we retest on the Strength Testing Bar to see what improvements you’ve made before starting another 8 week phase.
