Australian Rules Football - FootyFirst

FootyFirst is a five level progressive exercise training program that has been developed specifically to reduce the risk of common leg injuries in community football – groin, hamstring, knee and ankle. It is based on the latest and best scientific evidence. 

FootyFirst begins with a warm-up, followed by leg strengthening and conditioning exercises, and training to improve balance, landing and side-stepping skills. It requires only standard football training equipment and can replace the traditional warm-up

Soccer - FIFA11

The exercises focus on core stabilisation, eccentric training of thigh muscles, proprioceptive training, dynamic stabilisation and plyometrics with straight leg alignment. Proprioception is the ability to sense the position of your body, your limbs and their movements. Plyometrics is a type of exercise that uses explosive movements to develop muscular power.

Netball - KNEE

The program targets safe take off and landing technique with specific attention to the overhead arm position. It also conditions the athlete for efficient deceleration and change of direction, equipping players with the skills needed to cope with the specific multi-directional demands of netball..

Rugby - Rugby Ready

Devised by World Rugby. The Rugby Ready programme is intended to raise awareness of good practice and help stakeholders manage the inherent risks of a contact sport by putting appropriate safeguards in place.
